Residenial Solicitor / Conveyancing Executive

The Role

Jacksons' Residential Property team is the company's largest department. Based at the firm's Newcastle office, the successful candidate will be part of a team of experienced fee earners, secretaries and administrative support staff. The varied duties of the role include:

  • Managing a mixed case load of sale, purchase and Buy to Let residential properties, leasehold matters, help and right to buy schemes, new build property purchase and sales, mortgages/re-mortgages, shared ownership and affordable housing, and transfer of equity.
  • Providing effective communication and excellent customer care to the firm's clients at each stage of their journey.
  • Delegating and overseeing the work of support staff.
  • Taking an active role in business development, to support building professional relationships
    and growing Jacksons' client base.

About You

With a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, you must be able to effectively manage a mixed and busy conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion. With sound knowledge of the legal aspects of residential transactions, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills. In addition, you will be a real team player and be able to work effectively to deadlines.

You should also be flexible to travel occasionally to the firm's office in Stockton-on-Tees, in line with the needs of the business.
