
Commercial Property Solicitor or CILEX
Jacksons' Commercial Property team is looking to recruit a Senior Associate/Associate Solicitor or CILEX to provide additional resources to facilitate growth and expansion within its current team of 19 members. Based at either the firm's Stockton or Newcastle office, the successful candidate will be joining a supportive and collegiate team that has an excellent reputation and prides itself upon its ability to deliver a tailored service to all clients.
This is a busy and varied role, and the main duties will include:
- Managing a mixed case load, including commercial sales, purchases, site acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, secured lending, development work and corporate support.
- Active involvement in business development with a view to developing professional relationships and growing the team’s client base.
- Drafting and negotiating legal documentation including bespoke overage agreements, options and conditional contracts.
- Providing support, assistance and supervision to junior members of the team as and when required.

About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Minimum 5+ years PQE
- Experience in construction and development would be an advantage but is not essential
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and excellent client care standards
- Willingness to learn and broaden areas of expertise
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexibly between the firm’s Stockton and Newcastle offices (if and when required)
