Membership of Tees Valley Law Society offers opportunities whether you are a qualified solicitor or other legal professional, or you are in the early stages of training.

The Policing and Crime Act 2017

The Policing and Crime Act 2017 will significantly change the law concerning pre-charge police bail. These changes will apply time limits to the period for which pre-charge police bail may be in place, with new procedures the police will need to use to extend the period.

All criminal law practitioners and their clients will potentially be affected, so it's important to be familiar with these changes.

A free seminar will examine the legislative framework and the practical implications both from a defence and a prosecution perspective. The seminar takes place in London on Thursday 6 April, 16:00-18:25.
