Teesside Law Clinic
Teesside Law Clinic at Teesside University provides 3rd year students the opportunity to work on live cases on a pro bono basis. In addition to this the University runs a family law clinic on a Wednesday afternoon with a number of local law firms, which is very successful and fills a gap in the family law advice desert. Furthermore, the University is actively involved in campaigning (both legally challenging and voicing concerns) in respect of the “Same Roof Rule” on behalf of victims of historic abuse.
With this in mind the University is actively seeking law firms to work with their students on specific projects within the community. Examples of some projects that could be explored are as follows:
- Employment law advice clinic
- New business start-ups advice clinic
- Small claim procedure clinic
- Wills Service
There may be others that you wish to explore with the University who are open to ideas and opportunities. If you or your firm would like to explore some possibilities please get in touch with Andrew Perriman by email at a.perriman@tees.ac.uk.
