Mentoring Scheme: Last Chance To Get Involved
We reported recently on the Law Society's Mentoring Programme which aims to support the career progression of solicitors. In particular, the programme recognises that women, members of ethnic minorities, LGBT and disabled solicitors are under-represented at more senior levels of the legal profession, and so seeks to support through mentorship the progression of solicitors in these groups.
Mentors are not only a source of advice and direction but can also be a source of motivation and inspiration during challenging periods.
The scheme runs for a year and is open to practising solicitors across England and Wales, from all geographical and practice areas.
The deadline for applications is nearly upon us - 26 May - so if you want to get involved and have not already applied you will need to act fast!
