LSB Draft Business Plan 2017-18
The Law Society has responded to the Legal Services Board's draft business plan for 2017-18.
The Society encouraged the LSB to continue to hold frontline regulators to account for any proposed regulatory changes. The Society particularly encouraged the LSB to require frontline regulators to undertake a full cost-benefit analysis of any proposed changes, thus ensuring a sound evidence-base for change and bolstering transparency and accountability.
The coming year will see more changes for the profession, and wider society, and the Society emphasised the importance of ensuring the UK legal sector continues to be viewed as one of the best in the world, producing vibrant, high quality and independent professionals, with the rule of law at its heart.
