Membership of Tees Valley Law Society offers opportunities whether you are a qualified solicitor or other legal professional, or you are in the early stages of training.

Members are offered discounted rates for all of our training events, which are held locally and at the end of the working day to ensure the least disruption to you, your firm and your clients. We hold regular networking and social events where members can come together informally to discuss issues within the profession, but more importantly to share ideas.

Membership of TVLS is about offering support whether formally through involvement of the Council or more informally by sharing ideas about best practice with other firms. Local Firms Shortlisted In 11th Excellence Awards

The Law Society has unveiled the shortlist for the 11th Excellence Awards. The annual awards recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and passion that solicitors dedicate to serving their clients.

To be shortlisted for the Excellence Awards is an achievement to be proud of" said Law Society president Joe Egan; Durham-based EMG solicitors must be feeling doubly proud today, then, having been shortlisted in the Excellence in Client Service and Excellence in Conveyencing Practice categories. Durham County Council must also be feeling some pride, as they are shortlisted in the Excellence in Technology category. Many congratulations to both teams!

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony hosted by BBC Radio 4 Today program presenter Mishal Husain on 19 October 2017 at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London; you can book tickets here.
