Law Society Holds Drop-In Event In Parliament

The Law Society's had a quiet time in Parliament over the last couple of weeks, but last week held a drop-in event as part of their Early Advice campaign.

The event was hosted by former solicitor and member of the Justice Select Committee Bambos Charalambous MP, and was attended by other members of the Committee including David Hanson MP, Vicroria Prentis MP and Ellie Reeves MP.

Other notable people among the 25 MPs and researchers who attended were:

  • Justice Select Committee chair, Bob Neill MP
  • Former Conservative leader Rt. Hon. Iain Duncan Smith MP
  • Shadow Lord Chancellor Richard Burgon MP
  • Prominent Labour MPs David Lammy MP and Rosie Winterton MP

All attendees had their photo taken alongside the Society's sign that read "I support the Law Society's early advice campaign", a copy of which was sent to them along with a template press release that could be forwarded to their local media. The images can be seen on the @LawSociety Twitter account, and on the Society's Flickr page.
