Law Society Briefing On SRA's New Transparency Rules
In June 2018, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) announced the outcome of its consultation 'Looking to the Future: Better information, more choice'.
The SRA announced that it would make rules to require firms to publish more information on their websites about price, service and regulatory matters, coming into force at the end of the year.
The Law Society has developed a briefing for members to provide more detailed information about the announced changes and help you to consider the implications for your practice. The Society will also be developing a range of resources to help members to adapt to the changes, which will be announced in the future.
By reading the briefing, you'll get a better understanding of...:
- what the changes were,
- why they were announced, and
- initial points to consider for risk and compliance within your practice.
The briefing paper can be downloaded here.
