Joe Egan Addresses First Regional Forum
The Law Society held its first Regional Forum on 25 September in Liverpool, kindly hosted by Weightmans.
Joe Egan, president of the Law Society, adderessed a group of representatives from Local Law Societies, special interest groups such as Junior lawyers, Women's lawyers and the Black Solicitors Network North and Council and Committee members from Cheshire and Liverpool. The discussion covered the governance review and plans to modernise The Law Society, the brand of 'solicitor' and the relationship with the SRA.
The Regional Fora broadens the Association of North West Local Law Societies (ANWLS) ideas, and aims to be a platform for networking and a more representative collective voice for the profession in the North West.
If you think a similar series of fora would be of benefit to the solicitor profession in the Tees Valley and wider North East region then let us know your thoughts by dropping us a line via our Contact page.
