The Great Legal Bake is an annual nationwide event organised by the North East Legal Support Trust and other regional Legal Support Trusts. Participants organise a bake sale for their colleagues, friends and family, with the funds of the sale donated to the Access to Justice Foundation.

Last year, the Bake raised over £33,000 to support pro bono and access to justice across the country; this year's Great Legal Bake - taking place in the week of 12 to 16 February - aims to beat last year's impressive total.

There are two main ways in which you and your colleagues can take part:

• Bake a cake, batch of biscuits or something savoury to sell at your bake sale
• Buy some tasty treats to have with your morning coffee or afternoon tea, and encourage everyone who shares the treats to make a generous donation

Also, once you register your bake sale, you will receive a pack of materials to help you to promote your event.

All of the money raised during the week will go towards supporting the valuable work of law centres and legal advice agencies. A full FAQ can be viewed here, but there's less than a month until the Bake so register soon if you wish to get involved.
