The Law Society of England and Wales will be working closely with Parliament's Human Rights Committee and Law Committee on a response to the Government's consultation on new rules for a Detained Fast Track (DFT) process. The DFT has been suspended since a judicial review challenge in July last year. The consultation raises important issues of access to justice, human rights and the independence of the judiciary.
