CILEx Governance Reform
The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) has announced that it is restructuring its governance structure, with the aim of separating-out its duties to the public interest, the profession and independent regulation. It is doing this so that it is prepared should the government choose to make legal regulators entirely independent
, and is being driven by a desire to embed best practice within the organisation
.
The new structure will be headed by a group board, underneath which will be the boards of CILEx Professional, CILEx Law School, and Group Services. CILEx regulation will continue to have its own independent board.
Further details are available on the CILEx website.
