Membership of Tees Valley Law Society offers opportunities whether you are a qualified solicitor or other legal professional, or you are in the early stages of training.

Members are offered discounted rates for all of our training events, which are held locally and at the end of the working day to ensure the least disruption to you, your firm and your clients. We hold regular networking and social events where members can come together informally to discuss issues within the profession, but more importantly to share ideas.

Membership of TVLS is about offering support whether formally through involvement of the Council or more informally by sharing ideas about best practice with other firms. By becoming a member of TVLS there are opportunities to become involved in the running of the Society, whether through membership of Council or Committees or in a more informal role.

Changes to Law Society Practice Notes Access

From June, visitors to the Law Society's Practice Notes web pages will need to have signed up to the My Law Society service in order to access the detail of each Note. Basic information about each Note will remain available for public consumption.

Sign up is free and simple, and it only takes a few minutes; over 10,000 people have already done so. As well as registering your basic contact information, you can choose to give information about your areas of practice and special interests and about your career. The more you give, the better the Law Society can tailor the information they provide in future. For example, My Law Society creates a tailored home page personal to you, with the latest information from the Law Society website and the Gazette about your practice interests.
