The Law Society submitted their response to the MoD's Better Combat Compensation consultation on 23 February.

In their response, the Law Society oppose extending the definition of combat immunity. Extending the definition of combat immunity would deprive soldiers and their families of the option of going to court to make a claim against the MoD. Instead, compensation claims against the MoD would be settled under a scheme in which the MoD would itself act as the gatekeeper.
